These washers are made from one piece of PTFE to make a perfect insulator for Apimaye hives.  

This is a chemically inert material, and fairly high temp resistant, we believe these should last many seasons before replacement. 

PRO TIP: if they come loose, simply apply a little propolis to the stem of the unit when hot, they will stay very firmly in place!
